Pope Leo XIV arrived at the Sultanahmet Mosque, the first stop of his third day in Turkey. He was received there by Minister of Tourism and Culture Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Istanbul’s Provincial Mufti Emrullah Tuncel, along with his delegation.

After concluding his visit to Sultanahmet Mosque, the Pope proceeded to his next destination, the Mor Ephrem Syriac Ancient Orthodox Church in Yeşilköy.
